There’s something about french pop and K-pop that I just cannot get enough of!
K-pop, which basically just stands for Korean-pop, is catchy and very reminiscent of the girl groups and boy bands of the 90′s — Really my favourite genre of pop! Of course K-pop is huge in South Korea and there are K-pop fans worldwide, but K-pop is just not getting the mainstream attention it deserves. I never would’ve even heard of K-pop if it wasn’t for my Asian friends and the occasion shout-out on PerezHilton.com.
Girls’ Generation are K-pop’s version of the Spice Girls. They are super cute, wear matching outfits and you just can’t get their songs out of your head. Check out Genie by Girl’s Generation.
French pop is different than K-pop, but just as good in its own ways. French pop is jazzy with more of an electropop sound, but still has those catchy tunes that I love about pop music. I first got into French pop after hearing Yelle – Cute electropop group from France. But my new obsession is with Camille. Below is my new fave song Ta Douleur:
You don’t have to understand the lyrics to love pop music! Lovez it!
