If y’all haven’t checked out “Happy Endings” yet, you must! It’s my new fave show and quickly becoming an ALL TIME favourite! It popped up this past year mid-season and it’s hilarz! It’s about a group of six friends in their late-twenties and early-thirties living in Chicago. Seems like the show “Friends”, but it’s so not! There was always something about “Friends” that I always found so lame. “Happy Endings” is so much more relatable for me. It’s the first sitcom that I really feel is targeted toward my generation. It’s diverse. There is a lead gay character and an interracial couple. This show is so funny and I love the way it breaks down stereotypes. Max is not the stereotypical gay and Brad is not the stereotypical black character that you usually see on TV. My favourite character Penny is a 30-year-old chronically single girl. She seems to have the worst luck with men and reminds me of a handful of my own girl friends. Check out the clip below – After Penny realizes that Max is not enough of a gay stereotype for her, Max introduces her to someone who is.
“Happy Endings” comes on Wednesday nights after “Modern Family” on ABC and CityTV, which is an amawzing timeslot. Check it!
